Our Spring 2025 news!

Lighter brighter days are ahead and aren’t we all ready for it! Enjoy reading about some of our latest news! As the 2025 ice cream season rapidly approaches, we wanted to create a seasonal newsletter (spring, summer, autumn, winter) to keep you in the loop with what your ice cream producer has been up to, up and coming flavours and any big news.

Saffron  staff changes

After 9 years Tommy has decided to depart us in production. A little sad to be losing ‘one of the family’ but we wish him all the best for the future.

Matt started with us last summer and has stayed on to become a full time production assistant. Matt helps with preparation of the packaging needed as well as production of all our ice creams.

Jane joins us as our delivery driver on a Monday following demand from the Norfolk and Suffolk coasts…. Meaning we now deliver Monday – Friday… It’s crazy that it isn’t that many years ago that ALL deliveries were completed on a Friday… by one man in one van!

 

Launching 2025

Following the success of our Lemon Curd & Meringue with our scooping customer we’ve decided to launch it in our 120ml tubs too. Velvety Tiptree Lemon Curd ice cream, generously scattered with crunchy meringue pieces.

Summer Strawberries & Cream (May – Oct) 120ml, 400ml, 4L, 5L

Elderflower sorbet (May – Aug) 2L

These should be ready c.1 month before the above dates to start ordering.

New Machinery!

We’ve had a busy winter purchasing some new machinery to help with making.

Our new Tetra Pak continuous will allow us to produce our ice cream at approximately double the speed we were before.

We’re also purchased a Tetra Pak ‘fruit feeder’ this expensive bit of kit helps put inclusions evenly through the ice cream. We’ve seen a visual improvement in our mint chocolate especially.
